Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is hopeful that Marco Reus will be fit for Saturday's derby clash with Schalke 04.

The BVB captain played through illness in Sunday's 1-0 win over Gladbach and has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Inter as he's still feeling under the weather.

"It's always bad when Marco's not there. But he still has some minor problems, and it was always clear that he wouldn't be able to play three games in a row. We hope he will be back for the derby," Zorc told reporters on Tuesday.

Reus has featured in every game for Dortmund this season until now.
