Report: Inter to 'intensify' their efforts to sign Thomas Müller

Inter will reportedly try to sign Thomas Müller from Bayern München in January.
Inter are reportedly set to step up their efforts to sign Thomas Müller from Bayern München.

According to Kicker, Inter inquired about the 30-year-old in the summer, and the Italian Serie A team will now look into the possibility of signing him in January.

However, Bild has previously reported that Bayern are unlikely to let Müller leave the club in the winter.

The 30-year-old admitted a few weeks ago that will have to consider his future if the coaching team at Bayern München only see him as a substitute.

After starting on the bench six times in a row, Müller made his return to Bayern's line-up against Olympiacos on Tuesday, setting up two goals in his team's 3-2 win.

"I'm trying to focus on my football. The rumors should slowly come to an end," he told reporters after the game when asked about his future at Bayern.

Müller's contract with Bayern runs until 2021.
