"It was a slap in the face, and it feels terrible," Wout Weghorst said after Wolfsburg's 1-6 defeat to RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, Wolfsburg's Wout Weghorst was visibly disappointed with the performance and the result.
"We have to stick together now. It was a slap in the face, and it feels terrible. But we have to keep our heads op. Life goes on," he told Kicker.
With club captain Josuha Guilavogui suspended and vice-captain Koen Casteels sidelined with an injury, Weghorst wore Wolfsburg's captain's armband for the first time - and he was proud to do so.
"That's an honor and clearly a huge compliment. That makes me very proud. But the game didn't go as I hoped for, of course," he said.
In their next game, Wolfsburg face Borussia Dortmund away from home on Saturday.
