Bobic turned down offers for Filip Kostic

Eintracht Frankfurt boss Fredi Bobic has revealed he rejected interest in Filip Kostic during the summer.

'Die Adler' said goodbye to three of their biggest stars as Luka Jovic, Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic all left the club, and Bobic didn't want to lose another big name in Kostic.

"We couldn't possibly sell the whole team. And we had already lost enough playes, so I felt absolutely sure about saying no. It was about the sporting perspective, the competitiveness and not the money on the account", Bobic told Münchner Merkur.

"We don't want to lose every big player, even if we know that we never have a chance when the big Champions League clubs come around the corner," he added.

Kostic has made 18 appearances for Frankfurt this season with five goals and six assists to his name.
