Lewandowski set for surgery

Robert Lewandowski plans to go under the knife in the near future with the hope of putting an end to a groin problem.
Robert Lewandowski is set to undergo surgery for a minor groin problem, according to Kicker.

Lewandowski is expected to be out for 10 days after the surgery which is likely to take place after Saturday's clash with Borussia Dortmund, heading into the international break.

In that case, the 31-year-old probably wouldn't miss any games for Bayern. The Polish national team would be willing to accept his absence since they have already qualified for the European Championship in 2020.

Lewandowski has been on fire for Bayern this season, scoring 20 goals in 16 appearances.
