Report: Manchester United, Arsenal and Napoli join Rebic chase
Manchester United, Arsenal and Napoli have reportedly all joined the hunt for Ante Rebic who has already drawn interest from Tottenham and Bayern München.
Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic has drawn a lot of attention with his performances for Croatia at the World Cup.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Napoli have all joined the chase for Rebic, Sport Bild understands. Tottenham are also keeping an eye on the 24-year-old and apparently contacted the player and his agent weeks ago.
Bayern München have also been mentioned as a possible destination for Rebic. The new Bayern coach Niko Kovac used to work together with Rebic at the Croatian national team and brought him to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2016.
Now, according to Sport Bild, Kovac wants to bring Rebic to the Allianz Arena. However, Rebic should cost around €50 million which is more money than Bayern have ever paid for a player.
Yesterday, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic said that there have been no concrete offers for Rebic yet.
"So far there have been no offers, and we're planning with Ante for the new season," Bobic told Sport1 and added:
"Of course we know what can happen when a big club show an interest. We can't compete with the big ones economically, but that's nothing new."
Rebic, whose contract with Frankfurt runs out in 2021, is set to start in Croatia's World Cup semi-final against England tonight.
