We didn't deserve to lose at all

Eintracht Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter felt his side deserved more from their 2-1 loss to Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday.

Filip Kostic came close to scoring the winner for Frankfurt in injury time, but fired wide. Much to the frustration of Hütter and Frankfurt, Liege then went straight up the other end and made it 2-1 through Maxime Lestienne.

"This defeat is very, very bitter and annoying above all," Hütter told reporters after the game.

"It's a pity that Filip Kostic didn't make it 2-1 shortly before the end. Then we wouldn't have to worry about getting through from the group.

"Instead, they scored with the last kick of the game. That wasn't deserved at all."

In their next game, Hütter's troops will be up against Freiburg away from home in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
