Plenty of praise for Bayern starlet Alphonso Davies

Alphonso Davies has been praised for his impressive performance against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Bayern München's Alphonso Davies has earned praise from all sides for his performance in Saturday's 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old is a natural winger, but has impressed at the left-back position lately, taking advantage of his blistering pace and physical strength.

"He will be world class," Bayern president Uli Hoeness told Sport1 after the game.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Bayern coach Hansi Flick said:

"Alphonso is a very young player. He has developed very well. What has impressed me is how physical he is in the challenge. I'm very happy."

Former Bayern München star Franck Ribery also has plenty of positive words to say about the young Canadian international.

"He did a great job and had a super game. I'm happy for him. He's still youn and inexperienced. When you play against Dortmund, you're under a lot of pressure, and he did well," Ribery said.
