Borussia Mönchengladbach went four points clear at the top of the table with a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen today.
Speaking after the game, Gladbach coach Marco Rose praised his players for getting the most out of a difficult game.
"It was a difficult and very even game. Bremen had a number of goalscoring opportunities, but we have a fantastic goalkeeper in Yann Sommer. We implemented a lot of what we discussed before the game; we attacked with purpose and scored our goals at the right time. Yann also saved a penalty and everyone fought until the very end," Rose said, as quoted by the club.
"The lads are doing a great job at the moment. They believe in themselves and in the system and they’re enjoying playing, which is also important. There were a couple of tricky periods today, but being top of the table almost helps us overcome them. We're getting the rub of the green at the moment, but we deserve to have it because the boys have earned it," he continued.
Gladbach sit top of the Bundesliga, four points clear of RB Leipzig and Bayern München who both won as well this weekend.
