Joachim Löw backs Hansi Flick to do well at Bayern

Joachim Löw is convinced that Hansi Flick has what it takes to be the coach of Bayern München.
Germany coach Joachim Löw has backed Hansi Flick to continue to do well at Bayern München.

Flick has won both his first games in charge since being appointed Bayern coach on an interim basis, and Germany coach Löw is convinced that his former assistant coach is capable of handling the job in the long run.

"I know Hansi inside out. We worked together for eight years, and the players also benefited a lot from him," Löw told Kicker and continued:

"Of course, Hansi has a clear idea of what he wants to add to a team. Therefore, it was clear to me that he would be off to a good start.

"Hansi can do it! He has so much experience in different areas and is very competent. He also has empathy and gets along well with the players," Löw said.

Flick worked as Germany's assistant coach from 2006 to 2014.
