Rudi Völler unfazed by Kai Havertz's lack of goals this season

Bayer Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler isn't concerned about the fact that Kai Havertz hasn't been able to match his goal ratio of last season.
After scoring 20 goals in 42 games in last season, Kai Havertz has netted just three times in 16 appearances this season so far.

But that's not a concern for Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler who claims he never expected the 20-year-old to score as many goals as he did last season.

"It was obvious that things wouldn't go on like that. Kai only turned 20 in June and performs every week," Rudi Völler said in an interview with Sport Bild.

"For me, one thing is certain: at the end of his career, he will have at least 100 international games under his belt.

"He can play all positions in midfield. That makes him extraordinary," Völler said.

Havertz has been forced to withdraw from Germany's squad for the upcoming games against Belarus and Northern Ireland
