Matthias Ginter keen on taking on more responsibility

Matthias Ginter says he wants to take the next steps in the German national team.
Matthias Ginter says he would be happy to take on more responsibility in the German national team.

"Just like for my club, my goal is to carry on developing and taking on responsibility. I'm enjoying it. It's a process and I want to take the next steps," the Gladbach centre-back said, as quoted by the German Football Association.

"There are so many technical and tactical things that I want to improve. I try to take a step forward every day," Ginter explained.

Ginter has made 28 appearances for 'Die Mannschaft' so far. Germany coach Joachim Löw has confirmed that he will start Saturday's game against Belarus.
