Davy Klaassen: 'I'm not worried about the relegation zone'

Davy Klaassen is confident that Werder Bremen will not take part in the Bundesliga's relegation race this season.
Werder Bremen sit 14th in the Bundesliga table, just two points clear of the drop zone, but that doesn't worry Davy Klaassen.

"I'm not worried about the relegation zone. We've played well in lots of games but have dropped points. It's clear that this needs to change, but I'm confident it will," the Werder midfielder told reporters, as quoted by the club.

The 26-year-old believes Werder must improve their defending from set pieces.

"We're focusing on set pieces again in training this week. We can't beat around the bush; we've made far too many mistakes in this situations. The way we set up is good but we need to stay with our men," Klaassen said.

In their next game, Klaassen and Werder lock horns with Schalke 04 on Saturday.
