RB Leipzig boss praises Erling Braut Haaland: 'He's a very good player'

RB Leipzig boss Markus Krösche is impressed by Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has lauded praise on Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland amid speculation that the 19-year-old could join 'Die Roten Bullen' in the summer of 2020.

"He's a very good player who does an exceptionally good job in both the league and the Champions League. Of course, we're taking a look around with next summer in mind," Krösche told Sport Bild.

According to Sport Bild, RB Leipzig wanted to bring in Haaland from their Austrian sister club if Timo Werner had left the club in the summer. Werner stayed and signed a new deal, but Haaland remains top of RB Leipzig's wishlist.

The report claims that Haaland will be available for €30 million next summer which makes him affordable for Leipzig.

'Die Roten Bullen' won't be able to offer Haaland as much as the English top clubs that he has also been linked with, such as Arsenal and Manchester United, but there are other factors to consider for the 19-year-old.

Erling Braut Haaland would like to play in the Premier League at some point, but his father and agent, Alf-Inge Haaland, is advising him to make the move to Germany as an intermediate step, as per Sport Bild.

"Erling wants to play in the Premier League. I don't know when it's the right time. We're ahead of our career schedule, but it's a very tough league," Alf-Inge Haaland said, according to Sport Bild.

Erling Braut Haaland has scored 26 goals in 18 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg this season.
