Florian Neuhaus: 'We're very disappointed'

Florian Neuhaus was naturally disappointed following Borussia Mönchengladbach's 2-0 loss to Union Berlin.
Florian Neuhaus found it hard to hide his disappointment after Borussia Mönchengladbach's 2-0 loss to Union Berlin today.

Speaking after the game, the Gladbach midfielder told reporters:

"We're very disappointed that we lost today. We wanted to get a lot more out of the game and were unable to implement what we talked about beforehand. We knew what to expect from Union Berlin who played with a lot of long balls. They were very present far up the pitch and won many headers. That gave us some problems.

"It became difficult for us after we conceded. Union were fully focused on defending and were very compact. We didn't have a clear plan of how to create chances. In the end, it wasn't undeserved that Union Berlin won."

Gladbach remain top of the Bundesliga despite today's defeat, one point clear of RB Leipzig and Bayern München.
