Dietmar Hamann: RB Leipzig could challenge Bayern for the title this season
RB Leipzig are capable of competing with Bayern München for the Bundesliga title this season, according to Dietmar Hamann.
Dietmar Hamann believes that either Bayern München or RB Leipzig will win the Bundesliga this season.
Bayern will be striving to clinch their eighth title in a row, but the former German international feels the Bavarians could face hefty competition from Julian Nagelsmann's troops.
"For me, the two first places are clearly reserved for Bayern and Leipzig. Let's see in which order. But I would be surprised if Nagelsmann doesn't win the Bundesliga at least once during the three years he's under contract with RB," Hamann wrote in a column for Sky and continued:
"He's the most exciting and interesting young coach at the moment. He's an exceptional coach with a natural authority and a lot of football expertise."
RB Leipzig face Paderborn away from home today while Bayern lock horns with Bayer Leverkusen.
