Philippe Coutinho admits that he is yet to reach his top level at Bayern München following his summer move to Allianz Arena on a season-long loan deal.

"I know that I should play better. I want to improve," Coutinho said in an interview with Bild and added:

"The plan is to stay here for a year. I want to concentrate on this period of time. I feel very comfortable. If everything fits, I'd love to stay here."

The Brazilian international also hailed the impact of Hansi Flick who was appointed interim coach after the dismissal of Niko Kovac in November.

"The change of coach has brought a breath of fresh air to the team. We have motivation again. The atmosphere has changed completely. That's the big difference for me," Coutinho said.

Coutinho was most recently subbed on during the second half as Bayern fell to a 1-2 defeat at home to Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
