BVB president underlines desire to sign a new striker

Borussia Dortmund president Reinhard Rauball would like to see the club bring in a new striker.
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently admitted that it was a mistake not to sign another striker during the summer transfer window.

And speaking on Wednesday, BVB president Reinhard Rauball underlined the club's desire to bring in a new forward.

"'Aki' Watzke has already said that we need to sign a new centre-forward, and that's true," Rauball said, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

The BVB chief is aware that it could be difficult to find a suitable candidate in January, though.

"If you take a realistic look at what's happening in the market, it's not easy to quickly find someone who can meet our requirements," he said.

Paco Alcacer is currently Dortmund's only natural striker. The 27-year-old made a superb start to the season, but has missed a number of games due to injury problems.
