Report: Mauricio Pochettino no longer a candidate for Bayern job

Bayern München are reportedly no longer considering Mauricio Pochettino in their search for a new coach.
Mauricio Pochettino will not be taking over the position as Bayern München coach, according to a report from Bild.

The report claims that the German champions have decided that Pochettino, who was sacked by Tottenham last month, is no longer a candidate for the job.

Bayern are adamant that their new coach must be able to speak German, and Pochettino doesn't meet that criteria.

Additionally, the club bosses reportedly believe that Pochettino didn't manage to develop a clear philosophy during his time at Tottenham.

Hansi Flick was appointed coach on an interim basis when Bayern dismissed Niko Kovac was dimissed just over a month ago, and club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that the 54-year-old will remain in charge until Christmas at least.

Ajax coach Erik ten Hag and PSG coach Thomas Tuchel are said to be the main long-term candidates to take over the responsibility.
