Marco Reus praises Roman Bürki after vital 2-1 win: 'He kept us in the game'

Marco Reus lauded praise on Roman Bürki after Dortmund's important 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague on Tuesday.
Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus has hailed the performance of goalkeeper Roman Bürki after his important saves helped 'Die Schwarzgelben' beat Slavia Prague 2-1 and secure a place in the Champions League's round of 16 on Tuesday.

"Big compliments to Roman [Bürki]. He kept us in the game in many situations. We fought until the end. We missed chances to put things beyond doubt in the first 20, 25 minutes," Reus told UEFA.com after the game.

Dortmund needed a helping hand from FC Barcelona to leapfrog Inter and go through in second place, and the Catalan giants didn't fail to deliver despite resting a number of key players as they took a 2-1 win in Milan.

"It was an intense match but Barcelona won as well, so it was a great evening. We are through and that is all that counts," Reus said.

Roman Bürki was happy that he was able to make a difference.

"I was a bit unlucky in the last few games so I am glad I was able to help the team today. Slavia have lots of quality in attack and some very physical players, so it was always dangerous when they played those high balls into the box," the goalkeeper told UEFA.com.
