Philipp Max has hailed his partnership with Florian Niederlechner after Augsburg's 4-2 win over Hoffenheim on Friday.
Niederlechner set up three goals, including Philipp Max's opener, and won a penalty that Max stepped up to convert, scoring his fourth goal of the season.
"Actually, before this year I was focusing on trying to defend better, but now I have four goals. My teammates did a great job, like 'Flo' on the first goal," Max told Bundesliga.com after the game and added:
"We eat porridge together once a week. This time, he set up my goal, and I assisted his goal in Cologne last week. It was very nice again today."
Niederlechner said in an interview on Augsburg's website:
"In the first half we played really great football which really set the pace, But we failed to score and then fell behind. It was a hugely deserved victory and a great team performance. I am really proud of my team. Ruben Vargas and Marco Richter did a great job on the flanks but we were a good side across the whole pitch."
