Salihamidzic: "We saw what Coutinho's able to do"

Philippe Coutinho showed what he's capable of in Saturday's win over Werder Bremen, says Bayern boss Hasan Salihamidzic.
Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic was 'incredibly glad' to see Philippe Coutinho shine in Saturday's 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen that saw the midfielder score a hat-trick and set up two goals.

"We saw what Coutinho's able to do. I'm incredibly glad for him. In the next few matches, we'll try to pick up where we left off today," Salihamidzic said after the game, as quoted by the club.

Bremen made it 1-0 midway through the first half, but Bayern managed to claim the lead with two goals shortly before the break before scoring four more goals during the last 45 minutes.

"Bremen played very well at the beginning, we have to admit that. The two goals before half-time were crucial. We were in control in the second half and played very, very well," Salihamidzic said.
