Christoph Kramer: Dortmund, Bayern and Leipzig have better squads than Gladbach

"Of course Dortmund, Bayern and Leipzig have better squads than us. But it's always a matter of getting things done," says Gladbach's Christoph Kramer.
Christoph Kramer says he's aware that Borussia Dortmund, Bayern München and RB Leipzig all have better squads than Borussia Mönchengladbach.

But it's all about getting the most out of what you've got, argues the Gladbach midfielder, who believes 'Die Fohlen' deserve to be sitting second in the Bundesliga table.

"Of course Dortmund, Bayern and Leipzig have better squads than us. But it's always a matter of getting things done. Despite the fact that our squad might not be as well-equipped as theirs, we have shown over a long period of time that we deserve to be right up there," Kramer said in an interview with Sky.

Asked to explain the factors that have led to Gladbach's impressive season so far, Kramer said:

"It's always a mixture. It was very important that we got the right results at the beginning. The new coach, the new signings and our quality are also factors. There is not just one reason. Everything has to fit, and that has been the case so far."

In their next game, Kramer and Gladbach face Hertha away from home on Saturday.
