RB Leipzig star Timo Werner has been honored with the Bundesliga's Player of the Month award for November.

The German international had a truly excellent month, scoring seven times in just four appearances throughout November.

Werner saw off competition from teammates Marcel Sabitzer and Christopher Nkunku as well as Augsburg's Philipp Max, Werder Bremen's Milot Rashica and Gladbach's Patrick Herrmann.

"As a young child, I was always keen to win something like this. I'll obviously be very happy if things continue in the same direction," Werner said in a video posted on the Bundesliga's Twitter profile and added:

"It's special to be named Player of the Month. There's only one.

"It was definitely the best month in my career. Not just the games we won with Leipzig, but also in terms of my own personal record with the amount of goals I scored and the assists I provided," Werner said.
