Erling Haaland will most likely need some time to adjust to the Bundesliga following his move to Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg, says his father, Alf-Inge Haaland.

Therefore, he hopes that Dortmund's fans will be patient with his son.

"We expect Erling to play for BVB with success for many years," Alf-Inge Haaland said in an interview with Sport1 and added:

"He's only 19 years old and will probably need some time to adjust to the Bundesliga.

"I hope the BVB fans will be patient with him. If they give him time to adapt, he will love them - and they will love him," the former Manchester City player said.

Erling Haaland, 19, scored 28 goals in 22 appearances for RB Salzburg during the first half of the season.
