Kevin Trapp sets sights on return against Hoffenheim

Kevin Trapp hopes to be back on the pitch when Eintracht Frankfurt take on Hoffenheim in their first Bundesliga game of 2020.
Kevin Trapp hopes to be back in goal when Eintracht Frankfurt face Hoffenheim in their first Bundesliga game after the winter break on January 18.

The 29-year-old feels well after returning from a shoulder injury that has kept him out for a number of months.

"The way things have been going, it could work," Trapp told Kicker about the possibility of making his return against Hoffenheim.

"I feel in great shape. I want to thank everyone who has helped me to return much faster than expected. I'm allowed to do everything in training once more," he said.

Trapp is aware that it might take a while for him to find his top level, though.

"If you have been out for for a while, you need some time to get the right feeling and get into the rhythm," the Frankfurt goalkeeper said.

The 29-year-old has played 11 games for Frankfurt this season.
