Thomas Müller shows concern about Bayern's long injury list

Bayern München's injury list is a growing concern for Thomas Müller.
Bayern München star Thomas Müller has voiced his concern about the club's current injury situation.

Robert Lewandowski, Lucas Hernandez and Javi Martinez are all working on recovering from injuries ahead of the second half of the season while Niklas Süle still has a long way to go before he will be able to return from his long-term knee injury.

Meanwhile, both Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman have suffered injury setbacks, with the latter certain to miss Bayern's first two Bundesliga games of 2020.

"You have to say that we have too many injured players at the moment. If they come back in a relatively short period of time, everything is fine. But if another player picks up an injury, we're slowly reaching the limit. It's not optimal that we have to wingers sidelined at the same time in 'King' and Serge," Müller told Sport1 and added:

"I thought the squad size was quite well chosen before the season, but we are little thin in some positions," Müller said.

Asked if he could see himself playing on the wing due to the current injury situation, Müller responded:

"If there's no other way, it's certainly a possibility. But it's not an ideal solution for me or the coach"
