RB Leipzig boss confirms that Monaco don't want to let Benjamin Henrichs go

RB Leipzig boss Markus Krösche confirms that the club's interest in Benjamin Henrichs has been rejected by AS Monaco.
RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has confirmed that he has been told by AS Monaco that Benjamin Henrichs isn't for sale this month.

AS Monaco coach Robert Moreno recently ruled out a January move for Benjamin Henrichs, and RB Leipzig have now given up their chase of the full-back.

"Monaco have informed us that 'Benni' will stay and that they don't want to sell him," Krösche told Sky.

"We have to accept that. We already have a number of flexible players in defence who can also play both full-back positions, so we don't feel under a lot of pressure in that sense," he added.

Henrichs is under contract with Monaco until 2023.
