BVB coach Lucien Favre: Erling Haaland did very well

BVB coach Lucien Favre said Erling Haaland 'immediately showed his strengths' in the 5-3 win over Augsburg that saw the 19-year-old bag a hat-trick.
Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre lauded praise on Erling Haaland after Saturday's 5-3 victory over Augsburg that saw the youngster score a hat-trick in his debut after coming on as a substitute.

"He immediately showed his strengths, ran in behind and of course scored three goals which is incredible. He moves well between the lines which gives us another way of attacking. He did very well. He still has potential to improve. That's the most important thing," Favre told reporters after the win.

Asked if Haaland could start in Dortmund's next game against FC Köln on Friday, Favre responded:

"The players always say they are ready, that's part of it. But he didn't train all December, because he was injured, and couldn't do much at our training camp for three or four days. He wasn't quite ready to play 90 minutes this time. We'll see. We play on Friday."
