Bayern coach Hansi Flick 'keeping options open' after the arrival of Alvaro Odriozola

Alvaro Odriozola could make his first appearance for Bayern München in Saturday's Bundesliga game against Schalke 04.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick says he hasn't decided yet if Alvaro Odriozola will make his first Bundesliga appearance in Saturday's clash with Schalke 04.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Flick said he is pleased with the arrival of the 24-year-old who made the move to Munich from Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season earlier this week.

"His arrival gives us more options. He's made a good impression so far. He's a great guy. I'll keep my options open until I have to make a decision," Flick said about Odriozola, as quoted by the club.

Joshua Kimmich will definitely be back in the starting eleven after returning from suspension. The only question is if he will be playing at right-back or as a defensive midfielder.

"Joshua is a model professional. He always gives his all and wants to learn. I like that a lot about him. He will start on Saturday again, but I haven't decided in which position yet," Flick said.

Bayern take on Schalke at Allianz Arena on Saturday at 18.30 CET.
