Olympique Lyon coach Rudi Garcia has confirmed that Lucas Tousart, who has been heavily linked with Hertha BSC, will be departing the club at the end of the season.
The clubs have been negotiating for weeks, and it seems they have now reached an agreement that will see the 22-year-old sign for Hertha, but spend the rest of the season on loan at his current club.
"It is very good news to be able to keep Lucas Tousart. He should be loaned to us for the second half of the season," Rudi Garcia said at a press conference today, as quoted by the club.
According to reports, Hertha will pay €25 million - a new club-record fee - to sign Tousart who is expected to sign a contract until 2025 with the German capital club next week.
