Bayern coach Hansi Flick reveals details of Goretzka-Boateng bust-up

Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has commented on the brawl between Jerome Boateng and Leon Goretzka that took place in training earlier this week.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has reacted to Wednesday's training ground bust-up between Jerome Boateng and Goretzka.

During a practice game, Boateng was fouled by Goretzka and responded by putting his hand in the face of his teammate.

Speaking ahead of Bayern's Bundesliga clash with Mainz on Saturday, Flick said he was happy the incident was quickly settled, but stressed that something like that shouldn't happen.

"We played a tournament, where everyone showed the absolute will to win, which made me happy. But things got a little too emotional," Flick told reporters.

"It's good that Jerome and Leon resolved their conflict right away. We've talked things over, and everything has been sorted out. But of course we don't want to see that kind of behavior. We have certain values," he added before making clear that the two players will not be punished for the altercation.

Goretzka and Boateng are both expected to be in the line-up when Bayern face Mainz on Saturday.
