Gladbach to be without four players for their clash with Köln

Gladbach will have four absentees for Sunday's Bundesliga game against FC Köln.
Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to manage without four players for their derby against FC Köln on Sunday.

Alassane Pléa is suspended while Ramy Bensebaini, Tony Jantschke and Christoph Kramer are all sidelined with injuries.

"We'll still be without Ramy Bensebaini and Tony Jantschke against Köln. We'll also have to make do without Christoph Kramer due to the cranial bruising he suffered in Leipzig. We haven't made a final decision yet on who will replace the suspended Alassane Plea. Of course, Breel Embolo is one of the candidates who could play in his place," Gladbach coach Marco Rose said at the pre-match press conference, as quoted by the clubs.

Meanwhile, Köln coach Markus Gisdol is sweating over the fitness of Elvis Rexhbecaj and Jan Thielmann.

"We'll see how things are with Elvis Rexhbecaj and Jan Thielmann. Elvis has a small knee issue that we don't want to make worse, but we'll see how he gets on today. Jan has been ill, we're monitoring that as well," Gisdol said, as quoted by the club.

The derby will be played at Borussia-Park on Sunday at 15.30 CET.
