Niko Kovac will not be taking over as Hertha BSC coach following Jürgen Klinsmann's resignation, according to SID.
The former Bayern coach, who was linked with the position before Klinsmann succeeded Ante Covic in November, is currently unavailable, as per the report.
Klinsmann's assistant Alexander Nouri has been put in charge of the team until further notice.
Hertha sit 14th in the Bundesliga table, six points above the relegation zone.
