Frankfurt boss reveals why neither Ante Rebic nor André Silva has a release clause
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hübner has explained why neither André Silva nor Ante Rebic has a release clause.
Last summer, Eintracht Frankfurt brought in André Silva from AC Milan on a two-year loan swap deal that saw Ante Rebic move the other way.
Neither André Silva nor Ante Rebic has a release clause, and Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hübner has now revealed why.
"Due to the fact that our negotiations took place during the final minutes [of the transfer window], we weren't able to agree on a fee. Both moves were finalized quickly," Hübner told Kicker.
Hübner then went on to make it clear that if Frankfurt want to sign Silva on a permanent deal, it doesn't mean that Rebic will have to move permanently in the opposite direction - and the other way around.
Rebic has made 15 appearances for AC Milan so far, scoring five goals. Meanwhile, Silva has netted five times in 19 games for Frankfurt.
