Tah is understood to have a €40 million release clause, which expires before the European Championship starts in June, so if he doesn't make the switch before the clause runs out, Leverkusen will have the final say as to whether he will be allowed to leave BayArena in 2020 and for what price.
The clause is linked to Leverkusen's results this season and is slightly higher if the team manage to qualify for the Champions League. And 'Die Werkself' will probably need to do so to have a chance of keeping the 24-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Atlético Madrid, as per the report.
Arsenal, who have Tah's former teammate Bernd Leno and former Bundesliga players Mesut Özil, Sead Kolasinac and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in their ranks, currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.
The centre-back, who joined Leverkusen from Hamburger SV in 2015, is under contract until 2023.
