Hansi Flick confirms that Alvaro Odriozola will play against Paderborn

Alvaro Odriozola is due to start against Paderborn, Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has confirmed.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that Alvaro Odriozola is due to play his first Bundesliga game when the German champions take on Paderborn at Allianz Arena on Friday.

The 24-year-old is set to replace Benjamin Pavard, who is suspended, at the right-back position.

"Alvaro Odriozola will play on the right tomorrow, that is his position. He has trained very well, I'm happy with him," Flick told reporters at the pre-match press conference.

During the press conference, Flick was asked to comment on rumors claiming that he has attracted interest from other clubs.

"I've never addressed anything like that before. Never in the past, and I won't do it today either. I've previously had inquiries that I've never talked about. It doesn't help anything. I'm at Bayern München. That's my employer. I want to concentrate 100 percent, and everything else is just a distraction," he said.

Flick has been told he will remain in charge until the end of the season, but it remains unclear if he will stay on as coach beyond the summer.
