Lukasz Piszczek: 'I have to be patient a little longer'

Lukasz Piszczek remains patient as talks over his future at Borussia Dortmund continue.
Lukasz Piszczek has opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over a contract extension beyond the summer, but says there's no imminent agreement between himself and the club.

"I have to be patient a little longer," Piszczek told Ruhr Nachrichten.

Piszczek's future depends on the plans of the club, in which several factors play a role, including whether Achraf Hakimi will be joining Dortmund permanently or returning to Real Madrid when his loan spell expires.

"I need to discuss this with those responsible," the veteran said.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc recently confirmed that talks over a new deal with Piszczek are underway before making it clear that 'there is no final decision yet'.

Piszczek, 34, has played for Dortmund since 2010.
