Robert Lewandowski reveals he thought about joining Manchester United in the past

Robert Lewandowski reveals that Sir Alex Ferguson was interested in bringing him to Manchester United in the past.
Robert Lewandowski reveals he considered making the move to Manchester United back in 2012 when the Bayern München striker was playing for Dortmund.

The Polish international remembers having a conversation with the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, who was managing Manchester United at the time.

"I was speaking with him after two years at Dortmund and at that time I was really thinking about a move to Manchester United. Because of Ferguson and because of Manchester United," Lewandowski told The Guardian and continued:

"Borussia Dortmund said: ‘No, that’s that.’ That was the first time I was thinking about the move because if you get a phone call from Sir Alex Ferguson, for a young player it was something amazing. That was a special day for me."

Lewandowski stayed at Dortmund until 2014 when he joined Bayern.
