'Die Adler' are said to be keen on landing the 24-year-old permanently as he is starting to find his feet in Germany after moving to Commerzbank-Arena on a two-year loan deal last summer.

"You feel that André has taken a leap forward. He seems much fresher and is more stable," Frankfurt boss Fredi Bobic told Bild.

"We've always said that players need time to adjust when they arrive from another league," he continued.

The Portuguese striker has played 22 games for Frankfurt so car with seven goals and four assists to his name.
