Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff is confident that Leroy Sané will be fit for Euro 2020 after making good progress in his recovery from the cruciate ligament rupture that has kept him out the entire season so far.
"My feeling is positive. I'm convinced that Leroy will be ready for the European Championship," Bierhoff told Sky.
Bierhoff visited the Manchester City winger in England two weeks ago, and he was impressed with what he saw.
"He looked very fit and made a good impression, having already played for Man City's U23's," Bierhoff said and added:
"He doesn't have any problems anymore. After all, six and a half months have already passed."
Sane, who has scored five goals in 21 games for Germany, didn't play for 'Die Mannschaft' at the World Cup in 2018 after he was omitted from the final squad.
