Erling Haaland: 'I work as hard as I can to become the best footballer in the world'

Erling Haaland has huge ambitions and believes in himself. But the young Borussia Dortmund striker is well aware that he still has plenty of room for improvement.
Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland has opened up on his goals for the future in an interview with L'Equipe.

"I want to become the top scorer of the Bundesliga. But I'm not someone who always thinks about records. I think about my team, which I want to help as much as I can," said Haaland, who has scored nine goals in eight Bundesliga games for BVB so far.

"I try to work as hard as I can to become the best footballer in the world. I work very hard, as much as possible and as much as my body can stand," he added.

Haaland knows there is still a long way to go, though. Asked what he would like to improve, the 19-year-old responded:

"A lot! My right foot, my headers, my technique, my left foot, my way of thinking on the pitch, the way I move, everything. I still have a lot to do."
