Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed reports claiming that the German champions suggested a swap deal that would see David Alaba swap clubs with Leroy Sané from Manchester City.

"I have heard rumors that we would like to give David Alaba to Manchester City in exchange for Leroy Sané. Let me make it quite clear: this is a fairy tale and has nothing to do with reality," Rummenigge told tz.

Bayern München are hoping to extend the contract of Alaba, whose deal runs until 2021.

But the 27-year-old has admitted he's considering his future, with Spain understood to be his preferred destination should he leave.
