The German Football League (DFL) has announced that all Bundesliga football will continue to be suspended until at least April 30 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At a video conference on Tuesday, the 36 professional clubs in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga approved the DFL's proposal to extend the current suspension of German football.

"Our goal remains to finish the season by the end of June. But it might not be possible until July. We will talk to FIFA about a change in the transfer window and its regulations." said DFL chief Christian Seifert at a press conference.

According to Kicker, the DFL is hopeful it will be possible to resume the season behind closed doors in the first weekend of May.

On March 13, it was first announced that all Bundesliga football would be delayed amid the coronavirus outbreak.
