Report: Eintracht Frankfurt increasingly hopeful that Filip Kostic will stay

For a long while, it seemed unlikely that Filip Kostic would stay at Eintracht Frankfurt beyond the summer. But 'Die Adler' now appear to have a realistic chance of keeping the winger despite continued interest from Inter.
"I don't think we will be able to keep him," Eintracht Frankfurt chief Wolfgang Steubing admitted at the end of February when he was asked about the prospect of holding on to Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.

But because of the corona crisis, Frankfurt now have a realistic chance of keeping the 27-year-old for another season after all, according to Sport Bild.

Frankfurt reportedly turned down a €40 million offer for Kostic from Inter last summer, and it's doubtful that the Italian club will be willing to make a similar offer at the end of the season.

According to Sport Bild, Inter are still interested in the winger. However, he's not the top target of Inter coach Antonio Conte.

Kostic, who's under contract until 2023, has made 40 appearances for Frankfurt this season, racking up 12 goals and 15 assists.
