Roman Bürki on his contract talks with Dortmund: 'It's not a question of money'

Roman Bürki has given an update on his contract talks with Borussia Dortmund.
Roman Bürki says his contract talks with Borussia Dortmund will not break down due to a disagreement over his wages.

The 29-year-old has been in negotiations with the club over a possible extension of his contract beyond 2021, but the talks have been put on hold for the time being due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"It's not a question of money. We have been negotiating to try to find out what's possible. But we haven't come to an agreement yet," Bürki said, according to DPA.

"The most important thing at the moment is that we find a good solution for the club and that it gets through this difficult phase. When all this calms down, we'll talk again," the goalkeeper added.

According to Bild, Bürki is keen on signing a new long-term contract with 'Die Schwarzgelben'.

He has made 199 appearances for BVB since his €3.5 million move from Freiburg in 2015.
