'Nothing new' on Roman Bürki contract talks, claims Michael Zorc
"There is nothing new" to say about Borussia Dortmund's contract talks with Roman Bürki, says sporting director Michael Zorc.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has played down a report from Bild claiming that the club have agreed on a contract extension with Roman Bürki.
While Zorc emphasizes that he would like the goalkeeper to sign a new deal, he makes it clear that nothing has been agreed yet.
"There is nothing new," Zorc told WAZ and continued:
"We are basically in talks with Roman, but have suspended the subject for the time being because of the corona crisis.
"However, both sides still want to reach an agreement and can well imagine this," Zorc said.
Bürki's contract expires in 2021. According to Bild, he is set to sign a new deal until 2024.
