Report: Manchester United close in on Jadon Sancho move

Manchester United are reportedly edging closer to the signing of Jadon Sancho, but no agreement has been made yet.
Manchester United have moved closer to the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, according to a report from Sport Bild.

The German media outlet claims that 'The Red Devils' are determined to sign the youngster and have offered him the number 7 shirt. Sancho is flattered by the interest and can well imagine returning to his home country. But apparently, no agreement has been made yet.

When Sancho extended his contract with Dortmund until 2022, he agreed with the club that he would be allowed to leave if a suitable other would come in for him, as per the report.

So far, however, neither Manchester United nor any other club have shown concrete interest in Sancho by contacting Borussia Dortmund.

According to Sport Bild, Dortmund want €130 million for the highly-rated youngster and have no intentions of lowering their demands despite the coronavirus outbreak.

Both BVB and Sancho expect it's only a matter of time before Manchester United will come in with a serious offer.

Sport Bild believes 'The Red Devils' will probably try to drive down Sancho's price, knowing that they are Sancho's biggest suitors, with Chelsea currently focusing on other positions while Real Madrid aren't desperate to bring in a winger.

The report also states that Sancho wants Champions League football, so should Manchester United fail to qualify for Europe's most prestigious club competition, it would decrease their chances of bringing the youngster to Old Trafford.
