Report: Chelsea and Manchester United have contacted Timo Werner's agent

Timo Werner has reportedly received inquiries from Chelsea and Manchester United.
Chelsea and Manchester United have contacted Timo Werner's agent, Karlheinz Förster, about a potential summer transfer, according to Bild.

But the RB Leipzig striker is reportedly still waiting for an offer from Liverpool, whom he is said to be keen on joining.

Bayern München, on the other hand, are understood to have broken off all contact with Förster while they have taken a step forward in their negotiations with Manchester City winger Leroy Sané.

Werner recently ruled out a move to Bayern, saying that he would prefer a move abroad if he were to leave RB Leipzig at some point.

The German international, whose contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2023, has a €60 million release clause that expires on June 15.

He has played 36 games for 'Die Roten Bullen' this season with 27 goals and 12 assists to his name.
