OGC Nice boss Julien Fournier has dismissed speculation linking Mario Götze with a move to the French club.

In an interview with Sport1, Fournier stresses that Nice have no interest in signing the 27-year-old, whose contract at Borussia Dortmund expires this summer.

"I've read this, and I don't know where it comes from," he said and added:

"Mario Götze is certainly an interesting player. But we've never been in contact with him or his representatives at any time. And we have never had the ambition to bring him here."

Lazio, who have also been linked with Götze, have previously dismissed any interest in the midfielder as well.

"There is no contact," Lazio sporting director Igli Tare told Sport1 a few weeks ago.

According to the German news outlet, nothing has changed since then.
